The Guadalupe (Ode to our Old Pond)

We love ponds. Ponds are good. At our first home, Doc built a pond in our backyard. This was no plastic liner with rocks pond...This was an exercise in tree stumps, lots of concrete, a 10 foot waterfall, and a tile mosaic of the Guadalupe purchased in Mexico. The pond was pivitol to many a party, so when we moved out here and were incredibly homesick, I came up with a cocktail dubbed the Guadalupe. Which has become quite the party favor in the holler. Without further adieu, I give you for your own personal consumption:

The Guadalupe

The formula for this refreshing summer evening porch drink is 2 – 1 – 1 – 1
2 parts Guava juice
1 part pineapple juice
1 part Ginger Ale
